Mr Bubble

There is one man, whom I believe to be absolutely superb when it comes to singing. This man can do no wrong in my eyes. He is extremely talented, and oh-so-charming with his good looks and crooner voice. He sure knows how to make a gal feel special and sweep a girl off her feet. He is none other, than the wonderfully talented Michael Bublè.

If you can't appreciate the genius that is this man, then i'm sorry but i just don't have time for you so go away.

Just LOOK at that face! grrrrr.

Michael is like my generation's (or as John Mayer likes to call it, the iGeneration) version of Frank Sinatra which, i know, is saying a lot, because come on, its Frank. But believe you me, Michael is very very talented. And the thing is, he isn't just a good singer, but he is a good PERFORMER.

I feel very privileged to have seen him first hand at the record-setting Kirstenbosch Gardens concert back in 2007, which happens to be my Matric year :). Anyone who attended will probably agree with me in saying, it truly was a fantastic concert, one of the best i think that South Africa has ever had, and if you missed it, you definitely missed out. He was just so comfortable with the audience, making jokes and being cocky it was hard NOT to enjoy it. Although Michael is probably thought to be 'more for the ladies', im pretty sure many, if not all, of the men at the concert enjoyed it. Take a read at this post by a guy called Dax. Check out some You tube videos like this one of him doing a Michael Jackson number, or this one of him doing Maroon 5's "This Love", or this one! there are just too many to post. Buy his albums, do whatever you must to KNOW this man.

In my eyes, he is honestly legendary and deserves all the good fortune that's coming his way. South Africa ADORES you Michael. Keep doin' what you do :) and i only have one question for you: When the HELL are you coming back to Cape Town?!

Ricky Gervais

i fucking LOVE this man. i honestly think he is the funniest man alive.
For those who don't know, Ricky Gervais is the man that created The Office, one of the funniest shows ever. But also Extras.

The fact that he is so funny makes him very appealing to me. Humor is very sexy :)

2010 Bitches

So 'the' year is finally upon us, and boy am I stoked. Here's why:

This year, the FIFA World Cup comes to my beautiful home, South Africa, but more importantly, Cape Town, bringing with it people who will forever come to love this wonderfully diverse city of ours.

Secondly, this is my 3rd and final year at the University of Cape Town, which means, I graduate! I kind of have mixed feelings about this one because hey, who doesn't want to NOT have to worry about homework/tests and exams n shit etc...? But then i'll also probably never have so much freedom. and i'll probably never get to see my cool ass friends quite so often.

Third, and most important :) this year, on the 14 of December 2010, I, Rasheeda Sarguro, will turn 21 years of age :)
Again, mixed feelings because a) i can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that I will have existed for 21 YEARS! If you think about it, that's a LONG time.
But b) hellooooo freedom!
My plans for my 21st consist of my friends and i taking a trip to the awesomely awesome Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Because i am truly just a big kid :D :D :D

So therefore, in my eyes, 2010 is MY year bitches!!!
