Terror Island, grrr!

The awesome people that are 5GumSA have done it again and brought another surprise act to our shores. Last time they brought the (amazing) Two Door Cinema Club and got a whole lot of people to have a really good time in the middle of the night in the middle of Philippi.

This time they pretty much followed the same procedure whereby you could only win tickets to the concert, only this time round, they made people listen to what can only be described as a '3D sound-clip' about a murderer in a house, which you then had to correctly answer the question relating to what you just heard.

Regardless of the fact that no one knew who would be the performing act, what we do know is 5Gum throws really cool parties, so people followed the twitter / Facebook clues to find the Terror Island bus in order to get in line to queue to win a pair of those tickets.

Soon before the concert, it was announced that the acts performing at the Halloween-themed concert would be A-Track and Hudson Mohawke, as well as a couple of local DJ's.

The night of the concert I called in sick at work, and headed over to the Grand Parade to park. From there we followed the sign-age and the guards, that led us straight to the taxi rank, and into the old abandoned Cape Town train station, which was to be the location of the concert.

(P.S, photo's taken by myself and mostly my sister).
